May 21, Microsoft has expanded its suite of the most important office document format supported by the scope of the document format so that users have more options and greater flexibility, including another international document format standard ODF, But China has no national standard UOF in this list.


Microsoft Office 2007 System in the Microsoft Office Word, OfficeExcel and OfficePowerPoint currently supports 20 different file formats. Published in 2009 in the first half of Office2007 Service Pack 2 (Service Pack 2 (SP2)) will be added to the XML PaperSpecification (XPS), Portable Document Format (PDF) 1.5, PDF / A and Open Document Format (ODF) v1 .1 support.


Using SP2, customers will be able to use the ODF format to open, edit and save documents, and can be directly File Save as XPS and PDF fixed formats, without having to install other code. Microsoft will join the ongoing development of the next generation of ODF format OA SIS Technical Committee, will participate in which are formed, and for maintenance of the ODF standard ISO / IEC working group.
