Abundance is a subject of utmost importance for the time we are living in. If you are spiritually aware, you know that a current shift in universal consciousness is taking place. You sense that major restructurings are taking place on all levels. You see that the old models and patterns are gradually changing. Take the global economy and its effects in people's lives and ideas as a clear example.
From the spiritual point of view, those restructurings are a prelude to a new era of higher vibrations. The kind of society that will emerge at the end of this process is not totally clear at this stage. But it seems rather clear that we are marching towards more cooperative models of interaction in our societies.
Those models are still not clearly defined. But there are emerging clues. For instance, it is clear that the new models have to uphold the values of integrity, authenticity and respect for all the people involved in any given process of interaction.
New ways of generating prosperity and abundance have to be imagined according to those values, too. Everyone wants to create abundance and prosperity in their lives. It is a legitimate and natural desire. And while the Law of Attraction makes it clear that everyone can create abundance when the mind and the spiritual source is accessed in the right way, it is also clear that your manifestations are truly abundant when they are in alignment with the highest good of all, according to the Law of Dharma.
The new models of social interaction should ideally create an environment for abundance oriented towards the highest good of all. Among other things, we have to probably transcend the current model where almost every aspect of human life is a commodity with a price-tag. New, additional or alternative ways of sharing have to emerge. Not only in a corrective way, as in the case of charity for those in need, or as in the case of "socially-responsible business" schemes that are rightly being proposed already.
The new models should also encompass imaginative ways for people to exchange value for value. This implies that we should probably transcend too the current culture where most things available for free are considered to be "for nothing". The value and appreciation of what is to be shared under any new models has to be upheld. Otherwise the equation would not be completely sound. The models to exchange value for value should be for the good of all the people involved in the process.
With this in mind, as an experiment and personal contribution, I have created a social network that encourages people to do what they love most and to exchange their art, products or services with each other. The exchanges are free and agreed upon between members. This network is simply called Exchange-it.ning.com. ("Ning" means "peace" in Chinese).
This can be fun. Through this network, healers, musicians, visual artists and service or product providers of all kinds are invited to exchange virtually anything between themselves, as long as they own the intellectual property of what they intend to exchange.
How do they do it? -It's very simple. They specify in their profiles what kind of exchanges they are open to, so other members with matching interests can approach them and agree with them on the exchanges. They send to each other the art, products and services as they see fit and agree between themselves.
They may wish to exchange e-goods and send them to their respective emails privately. They may agree to exchange tangible goods and send them to each other's address by ordinary mail or priority mail. Or they may agree to exchange a tangible product for a service, as they see fit.
For example, they can exchange visual art for music or for a psychic reading. They can exchange healing videos for a painting or music. They can exchange an e-book for a session of distant healing with an expert practitioner. They can exchange anything, as long as they agree between themselves. And this network is open to all kinds of products or services when their providers are willing to exchange them for healing services, visual arts, music and so on.
This is open to any kind of services or products. So -for instance- let's say you like to travel, and someone in the travel industry one day joins the network and offers a discount on tickets in exchange for a free license of art for her website, or website design service, or music to use in their promotions, or maybe a psychic reading. Same with food, let's say you like gourmet food or natural holistic products, and someone in your area says "I give you some of these products if you do a psychic reading for me".
This network is about sharing. It is a social network for healers, musicians, visual artists and product and service providers of all kinds who wish to share and exchange with each other their creations, products and services, without a middleman. "Exchange-it" is a brand new network, but the potential for experiencing the joy of giving and receiving is great for anybody. You are invited to join and/or spread the word.
