One of the things in my life that I feel really lucky for is that in my life prior to the Network Marketing industry, I got to see the other side of the artists who actually played the music that I admired.

I managed their money, so I got to see some sides of them that I'd rather not have, but as far as them and their music...it's very interesting to see what makes an artist tick.

When you're that up close and personal you get to see the music through the emotions of the person creating it. It's a much different spectrum and for a music lover... it was a gift.

But this article isn't about me hanging out with rock stars, it's about music and how it affects lives in so many different ways.

One interesting way to realize how much music affects the way we see and feel the world, and how it changes our vibes, is to watch a movie... and actually pay attention to the music in the background.

The people who choose music for blockbuster movies are experts at finding exactly the sound that goes along with the emotion of the actors, and the scene.

When it's done really well, you never even notice it's there. But... have you ever been watching a movie that's supposed to be good...that the critics love...but you just couldn't get into it. The dialogue was good, the acting was good, but for some reason the movie wasn't sticky.

Very likely it was because either the wrong background music was chosen...or there was no music at all.

Music can put us in almost a hypnotic trance, and hold you there. Music can also lead you to do things without you even consciously realizing it. It can create a mood for you, and even reverse a mood that you were already feeling.

How many times have you had a bad day, and the first thing that you do is come home and put on uplifting music?

Or on the flip side, sometimes you want to wallow in your sadness. We all do it, and we all deserve to actually FEEL an emotion sometimes, so we will put on our heartbreak music, our lonely music, etc.

When we have a party, what do we play? That's right - party music. When we're in the mood, or want (or need) to create a certain mood, do we play Slayer or Barry White? Well I guess it depends on who the mood is for but most of the time it's gonna be good ole' Barry White or Michael Bolton.

How about nostalgia? Have you ever been hanging out with friends from your high school or early college years, and then realized that somehow, someway, the music from that time has slipped into the CD player?

Music is a powerful driving force. So much so that even marketers use it to manipulate us into taking actions that they want us to take.

Did you know that at Disney World they've got the music set so that at specific times during the day...like the afternoon when visitors are starting to slow down the pace a bit because they're tired...that Disney intentionally increases the tempo of the music at that time to get everyone moving again?

You can purposely use music to enhance your life. Now more than ever, it's easy as pie to create a whole entire CD, or soundtrack for your day. You can even use the Disney trick to pick up the tempo and get your butt in gear when you start feeling like sludge.

Go now, and enjoy your music.
