"The power of love to change bodies is legendary, built into folklore, common sense, and everyday experience. Love moves the flesh, it pushes matter around. Throughout history, "tender loving care" has uniformly been recognized as a valuable element in healing."

Larry Dossey

The stories we tell ourselves about ourselves, others and life are generated from reactions we create inside ourselves in response to our beliefs about the world around us. Our thoughts become behaviors because we choose actions according to the beliefs we hold as being true about our "reality". By choosing how to perceive ourselves, we can either intend, believe and behave our way to success or failure. For example, if we believe we are valuable and worthy of being visible in this world we will live up to that truth. If we believe we are incompetent and insignificant, we will live down to that truth.

Internal dialogue is one very powerful factor that shapes our self-concepts because it's a continuous conversation we have with ourselves about everything that happens to us, about us, and surrounding us. This dialogue is on-going, happens in real-time and provokes a measurable physiological change in the body.

A second factor that significantly affects our health, is the way we tend to label everything and everyone then "judge" them into groups, subgroups, classes and functions - including ourselves. These labels have a powerful impact on our perception of self because we "live" according to the judgments we've made about others and ourselves ("I'm a loser" or "I'm a winner.")."

Most of us have beliefs that repeat over and over in our heads so often they have become deeply ingrained in our psyche and replay automatically, influencing our behaviors without our awareness. We add even more meaning to these judgments by attaching to them future predictions, such as: "That gorgeous woman won't go out with me because I'm a failure." These silent beliefs are dangerous and potentially self-defeating because they have the power to set us up for a specific outcome, which may not be a positive one.

When we listen to negative beliefs about ourselves, others and life's circumstances for long periods of time they become invisible to our conscious mind making them difficult to recognize and transcend. It doesn't take long before these beliefs begin to limit what we reach for and achieve. They also cause us to block any conflicting (positive) information while confirming any new negative information, creating emotional highs and lows that repeat endlessly.

Since we are the ones who write our own life stores, we can also write our own happy endings. Monitor your thoughts diligently and speak positively in order to take empowering, forward moving actions to manifest all your dreams.
