Who are we? The word 'man' is derived from the sanskrit 'manu' which roughly translated means 'the one who thinks' or 'the agent of thought'. Since thought is an intrinsic and exclusive property of the soul or spiritual nature of man, in its highest sense 'manu' becomes 'spiritual force' and therefore in his spiritual aspect and essential being, man is the creative deity and the universe emanates from him.

The flowering of spirit and matter in every planet follows a cyclical pattern of activity and latency. A planet or one which has completed of all its cycles dies. But before doing so it transfers its energies into a neutral, inert center wherefrom a new planet will undergo its own septenary cycles. The new planet goes through its ethereal first and gaseous second cycles unaided, producing for each cycle its own intrinsic humanity, divine but devoid of intelligence, perceiving but not discriminating. At this point in his journey, the human being is not yet answerable to moral law and his development is guided by elementaries, spirits of fire for the first cycle then joined by spirits of air for the second cycle and by spirits of water for the third cycle(the earth element has as yet not been evolved), rather than by his own thoughts.

As stated, the third cycle manifested the element of water and the spectral forms of man in the previous phases become, with the planet, liquid, condensing more and more as the third cycle moves to its midpoint and finally attaining solid form with the manifestation of the earth element towards the end of the cycle. Whereas the first and second cycles only produced sexless spiritual men who reproduced themselves by processes which may be described collectively as self-duplication, at the third cycle the sexuality of man becomes apparent, first as androgynous, and finally towards the end of the cycle as male separated from female.

At the closing period of the third cycle the humanity evolved becomes ensoulable by the spirit of more highly evolved levels of men from other planetary systems. It is also at this closing stage that the intrinsic humanity of the planet becomes subject to moral law, as, freed from complete unity with spirit, he starts making his own choices. Previously guided by elementaries, he now needs higher beings to oversee his progress. Therefore, it is at this closing period of the third cycle that more highly evolved egos, let us call them demi-gods, from other planets are dictated upon by nature's law to ensoul the native man, serve as a guide for him to prevent him from creating and accruing negative repercussions resulting from his actions.

This linking or union of the consciousnesses of the higher man with lower man is the origin of the what we know to be the fall of the angels. The highly developed consciousnesses descend into the gross physical vehicles of their underdeveloped brothers. Angels they are indeed, our guardian angels. Why do we need help?

The one immutable purpose of life on the material plane is to intensify our awareness of the spiritual-nature in us and to deify our personalities. This is the very reason why life is filled with adversity, obstacles and frustrating developments, to afford the chance to turn adversity into assimilation, obstacles into means and frustration into the victory of the spirit.

It seems that for a man (on his own) to realize his divine nature he needs to undergo thousands of lives on seven different planes of reality of one planet...on seven planets. Setting the number of lives on one level of reality to 6,000 (I do not pretend to know the exact number), would require the man to experience 294,000 lives to realize his divinity. I suspect that with some help from higher beings this length of time may be shortened somewhat.
