Computer has ever won human in simple math and chess champion. Now it can defeat two best candidates in a live TV named Jeopardy. Unlike Google and other search engines which just suggest documents containeing answers, Watson can analyze and calculate potentials to offer the best final answer at once. Engineers spent 4 years building up such supercomputers. Despite some flaws in the contest, Watson defeated Ken Jennings and Brad Rutter to win $ 77,000. In order to mark this interesting event, we will now take an in-depth look at top 10 smartest computers in the world.

The world’s fastest supercomputer, Tianhe-1A (2010) of China amazed the world scores at 2.5 pelaflop (2.5 trilion caculations per second)

The American pride, Jaguar (2009), is the second smartest supercomputer with the speed of 1.75 trillions calculations per second. Now it is in INCITE project of American Energy Ministry.

Nebulae (2009) from National supercomputing Centre in Shenzhen, China reaches at 1.27 pelaflop.

Tsubame 2.0 (2010), from Japan, is ranked as the forth world supercomputer stops at 1.2 petaflop and is placed at Tokyo Technology Institution (Tokyo Tech).

Hopper (2010), named in honor of Admiral Grace Hopper - a pioneer in software development and programming languages, is the fifth supercomputer at 1.05 petaflop. Now Hopper is kept in the Department of Energy\'s National Energy Research Scientific Computing Centre (NERSC).

Blue Gene/Q "Mira" is hatched plan in 2012 at 10 petaflop, 4 times as Tianhe-1A.

Exa-Scale Computer (2018 - 2020) is the American biggest ambition in building a supercomputer 1,000 times faster than No.1. It’s expected to count all stars in universe just in 20 minutes.

Deep Rybka 3 (2011) will be the smartest in chess playing.

Stratus, 0.07 petaflop, is considered the best in weather and climate prediction.
