Centralia is a borough in Columbia County, Pennsylvania, USA. This is the least populous town in Pennsylvania. In 1960, its population was more than 5000 people, and there is a theater, three schools, a post office, seven churches and dozens of restaurants. At that time, Centralia was absolutely as busy town. However, things are different recently. In 2007, there were only 9 people living in the town. Most houses were abandoned and destroyed by nature and human. Now, the only thing that still is still active is St. Mary church which opens on Sundays. The reason that led to such devastated state of the town is a mine fire beneath the city happening in 1962.
