This virus is extremely contagious and can spread from a person to another very rapidly.
Multi-drug Resistant Organisms:
these include resistant organisms like Methicillin Resistant Staphylococcus Aureus and Vancomycin Resistant Enterococcus. In a nursing home one person could be infected by skin, wound, urinary tract and respiratory infection in the body. VRE will be in intestinal tract infections. These antibiotic resistant can spread from skin to skin contact of either caregivers or resident or through physical contact in nursing home patients.
These are the few infectious diseases and it is clear that nursing homes and hospitals are places which are at great risk of getting an infection as there a lot of ill people live.
